new database server

I have set up a new mysql database server in the texas data center. If you're on mercury, scandium, or titanium and use MySQL, moving to db2 should give you a considerable speedup for database-intensive pages.

If you would like me to move your database, let me know in a private email. I can schedule this two ways:

• If you give me a list of configuration files that need to be changed I'll move your database at a time convenient for me
• I can set up the new database and you can copy your data over at your leisure.

All of this is purely optional.

massive load on scandium

Scandium's just reported in with a massive server load and is taking forever to respond. I'm looking into it right now.

two statements?

A couple people got two statements today... I accidentally broke the database while working on the billing system, and so today's charges weren't posted correctly. The second statement (that shows an event for 1/19/2004) has the correct amounts.
